Variations of the cake batter brownie or blondie have been circling around the interwebs as of late. Have you seen them? They are a brownie or a blondie made from a cake batter base and stuffed with all sorts of goodies. One of my favorite variations is here. Today I decided to put my own twist on the cake batter brownie. And they are delicious!
Let me tell you these things are everything you want in a brownie: gooey, dense, fudgey, and loaded with goodies!
To get in the holiday spirit, I added white chocolate covered pretzels and white chocolate covered Oreos. They dress up these brownies nicely and add a nice crunch. I also love the salty/sweet flavor from the pretzels.
This recipe is easy peasy, and only requires ONE BOWL!
Loaded Holiday Cake Batter Brownies
A box of chocolate cake mix
¼ cup of canola oil
1/3 cup of milk
1 egg, beaten
1 – 1 ½ cups chopped white chocolate covered pretzels
8-10 white chopped chocolate covered Oreos
Preheat oven to 350 and spray and grease or butter an 8×8 inch pan.
Stir cake mix, canola oil, milk, and egg in a large bowl until just combined.
Add your pretzels and Oreos.
Put brownie mixture into your prepared pan and bake for 20-22 minutes.
Allow brownies to cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
